Site work for a water / sewer project in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Including the demolition of approximately 20 linear feet of the existing stone wall along the stream to the rear of the subject parcel to accommodate the proposed gravity wall extension, construction of approximately 20 linear feet of a gravity retaining wall as an extension of the wall previously installed along the stream to the rear of the subject parcel, installation of rip rap at the toe of the existing retaining wall along the stream, installation of rip rap bank protection in the areas noted on the plans including supplementing the rip rap which was previously installed at the southern corner of the subject parcel, and complete all required pavement, vegetative removals/restoration, fence removal/replacement, and incidentals. Close of questions (via PennBid) Friday, January 14, 2022, 4:00 PM EST Radnor Township reserves the right to add or delete portions of work based on budgetary constraints. The award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for February 2022. The project must be completed no later than 90 days after notice to proceed. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. This is a prevailing wage project. In the event of a delay to the project completion terms as per the Schedule for which Contractor is solely responsible, Contractor shall pay Liquidated Damages to Radnor Township at a rate of $880 per day of delay for every day beyond the 90 days for allowed for project completion. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township. The standard under which bids will be evaluated and other bid requirements and instructions to bidders are included in the bid package. The intent and meaning of the Contract Documents require that you, the CONTRACTOR, under the terms of the Contract, take such action as necessary or required to provide labor, plant, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities, and appurtenances thereto, which are indicated, or reasonably implied by each Section of the Specifications, all of which are collectively necessary and required for the execution of the Work. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The OWNER will award a contract which will commence within 60 calendar days. Under this contract, you, the CONTRACTOR will: 1. Demolish approximately 20 linear feet of the existing stone wall along the stream to the rear of the subject parcel to accommodate the proposed gravity wall extension. 2. Construct approximately 20 linear feet of a gravity retaining wall as an extension of the wall previously installed along the stream to the rear of the subject parcel. 3. Install rip rap at the toe of the existing retaining wall along the stream. 4. Install rip rap bank protection in the areas noted on the plans including supplementing the rip rap which was previously installed at the southern corner of the subject parcel. 5. Complete all required pavement, vegetative removals/restoration, fence removal/replacement, and incidentals as shown on the Drawings. B. This general outline does not in any way limit the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to perform all work and furnish the required materials, equipment and labor as shown or required by the contract documents. C. Provide completely and in full all materials, equipment, and labor obviously a part of the Work and necessary for the proper operation and installation of same, although not specifically indicated in the contract documents, as if called for in detail, without additional cost to the OWNER.
