As of January 21, 202, the owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies and the project has not been awarded. A timeline for the award is not yet determined. The City of New Carrollton is seeking proposals from qualified firms capable of providing services related to the design/build renovation of restroom facilities at its Municipal Center. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, the renovation of six (6) existing restrooms, the supply and installation of new toilets, sinks, mirrors, flooring, related demo work, and associated plumbing and electrical work as required. All questions or requests for clarification regarding this RFP must be received, in writing, via e-mail at lgatling@newcarrolltonmd.gov on or before 9:00 a.m. on December 10, 2021. Answers to all questions will be posted to the City's website no later than 11:00 a.m. on December 15, 2021. The City encourages all minority, women, and disadvantaged business owners to submit proposals. Project Cost Class A - Up to $100,000 A bid security in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the bid amount The successful bidder shall be required to provide, at its expense, a performance bond in the amount of 50% of the contract amount and a payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract amount to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which the contract is awarded.
