Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility; and swimming pool.

The Denver Zoo is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for General Contractors to pre-qualify to receive the Request for Proposals (RFP) for CM/GC services for the Sea Lion Pool Repair and LSS Conversion Project. In pursuit of continuing to be a leader in the zoological industry, the Zoo issues this RFQ for CM/GC services for two primary scope items: Demolition, structural repair and concrete reskimming of a 150,000-gallon and a 25,000-gallon pool located at the current seals and sea lions exhibit; and Conversion of the existing life support and piping system from fresh water to salt water. Each of these scopes have subsequent dependent scopes. A shortlist of preferred bidders will be released on January 3, 2022. Construction is anticipated to begin in October 2022 with completion in July 2023. Contractors will be required to adhere to all policies outlined in the Denver Zoos Contractor Rules of Conduct including confirmation of vaccination for all onsite contractor staff and subcontractors. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time No Trade is available for Renovation Severity.
