Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for the addition of a 44,401-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

This Project is for the development of the Centre for Pandemic Research which will help lead Canada's response to emerging infectious diseases and pandemics. The Project will involve physical changes to infrastructure at the VIDO complex including, capacity expansion and laboratory and administrative space renovations, with the goal of striving towards energy efficiency and sustainable design practices and principles. The University of Saskatchewan, as represented by Enterprise Procurement, is requesting Proposals for Construction Management Services for the VIDO Expansion and Renovation Project. Through this Request for Proposal and subject to the terms of this Request for Proposal, the University of Saskatchewan intends to identify the Proponent who possesses the skill, experience and resources to carry out the Project. Firms must complete and/or provide all of the following documents and submit them through the Bonfire Portal: 1) Completed University of Saskatchewan Non-Disclosure Agreement. 2) Bonding verification: a letter from your bonding company confirming the surety's relationship with your firm and their willingness to provide the required bonding for a project with an estimated construction value of $34 million CAD. 3) Insurance: a valid certificate of insurance or a letter from an insurer stating the Proponent has the ability to obtain the required insurance should they be successful. 4) Certificate of Recognition (COR) or equivalent: For Saskatchewan based companies, a copy of your Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association offices. For non-Saskatchewan based companies, either the Saskatchewan Equivalency Certificate of Recognition or a Letter of Reciprocity from your home safety association. The University of Saskatchewan will review the documents provided and upon acceptance of the documents, the University of Saskatchewan Non-Disclosure Agreement will be signed by representatives of the University of Saskatchewan and returned via electronic means to the Proponent. The Proponent shall be then be invited through the Bonfire Portal to a location where they may access the competitive bid documents.
