The project consists of slope stabilization, construction of an earthen berm, and constructing a grouted rip rap ditch. All works shall be carried out as per Standard Specification for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction of the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The entire project must be completed within 60 calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $200 per consecutive calendar day past the approved completion date. The project shall be started soon after issue of Notice to Proceed by ADAMS COUNTY. Neither IMS Engineers nor the ADAMS COUNTY is responsible or liable for any delays in mail deliveries. Such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the bid, execute contract and post-performance bond in the form and amount within the specified time. All requirements under the program that are imposed on the Adams County (as the Grantee) by NRCS (the Grantor) are applicable to this project and the Contractor shall abide by all requirements as those required by the Grantee. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.
