The work consists of the following: The District is seeking to select multiple Consultants to have on-call contracts to perform Construction Inspection, Special Inspection, and Materials Sampling and Testing. Construction Inspection: Consultant Inspectors will augment District staff to provide inspection of various multi- disciplinary construction projects. The duties of the inspector will include contract compliance, preparing daily inspection reports, tracking time and materials extra works, interfacing effectively with District and Contractor staff, and performing other duties as required. Special Inspection and Materials Sampling and Testing: Consultant shall provide Special Inspectors accepted by the District and certified by the International Code Council (ICC) and Los Angeles County Building Department. Consultant shall also provide material sampling and testing services. The types of inspection and testing shall include but not be limited to concrete, reinforcing steel, welding, anchors, structural steel, masonry, PVC liner, CIPP and manhole liners, coatings, and other items as requested. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
