Furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the complete construction of an elevated steel storage tank with a capacity of 250,000 gallons. The tank shall be a height of 117 feet to the overflow line. The work includes appurtenances such as inlet/outlet piping, overflow piping, tank vent, inside ladders, and tank access openings. Also included under this Contract are consolidation of loose granular soils in place for the tank foundation, excavation, backfilling, grading, landscaping, mechanical work, electrical work, painting and all other related work and appurtenances. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must be accompanied by an Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, signed copies of Addenda (if issued), and satisfactory bid security, as set forth in the Project Documents A certified or cashier's check payable to the Town of Cedar Lake or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. Bid security may be retained by the Board for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days for all bidders and not to exceed ninety (90) days for the Bidder given tentative award of Contract. The successful Bidder will be required to provide separate Performance and Labor and Material Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount. Bidders must be experienced in the construction of the type of facilities to be constructed under the contract for which a bid is submitted. Bidders shall complete Bid Form 96, Section 00751, Financial Questionnaire and provide Financial Statement which are to be submitted with their bid The Town Cedar Lake reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Board deem it to be in the public interest to do so. All work shall be confined within the public Right-of-Way, Town property or utility easement, all as shown on the Plans and/or described in the Project Documents. Minor transition work outside the Right-of-way will be for the replacement of driveways and sidewalks.
