Renovation of a museum in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
City of Eugene is accepting prequalification applications from firms interested in submitting a bid for the Historic Restoration General Contractor for the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House upcoming Invitation to Bid. This Request for Qualifications does not commit the City to pay any costs incurred by any offeror in the submission of an offer. Firms that are deemed Prequalified per the criteria stated in the RFQu will be invited to submit a bid for the provision of Historic Restoration General Contractor for the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House preservation project. The City of Eugene is planning a historic preservation project to address deferred maintenance at the historic Shelton McMurphey Johnson House, built in 1888. The scope of work will include full roof replacement and repair and replacement of the gutter and downspout system. Painting of the south and west facades will also be included along with an alternative to paint the east and north facades. The scope will also include the selective repair of wood features, wood window glazing, and in-kind replacement of deteri orated components. All work shall comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Stand ards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The awarded Contractor will comply with the provisions of ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 pertaining to Prevailing Wage Rates on a Public Work.
