Total Award Amount $1,855,210.00 Custom BT Masonry restoration & signage - Matrukh Group - 317,500 Window construction - APS Contracting - 1,553,000 The Board of Education of the Plainedge Union Free School District invites the submission of Sealed Bid Proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Phase II: Masonry Restoration, Signage and Window Construction at Plainedge High School in accordance with the plans and specifications for the following category(ies) of work: Plainedge High School Phase II Masonry Restoration, Window Replacement and Signage - Contract W-1: Window Construction Solicitation Number PDG003-11SED, JCB#: 20-46759A Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check payable to PLAINEDGE UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT or by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid conditioned as set forth in the "Information for Bidders" of the Bid Specifications. All bid security, except those of the three lowest bidders will be returned within ten (10) days after bids are submitted. The bid security provided by the three lowest bidders will be returned after the execution of the Trade Contract. The District will require the successful bidder to provide separate Performance and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds in the amount of the contract price and in the form specified in the Bid Documents. Each Bidder shall prepare their bid proposal, along with a bid security, in accordance with the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the "Information for Bidders" and Bid Specifications. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. Wages to workers, laborers and mechanics employed to work on this project shall be paid in accordance with Section 220 of the Labor Law and in accordance with the Prevailing Rate Schedules found in the Project Manual. Proof of such payments will be required. The District reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder providing the required security within forty-five (45) days of the date opening of the bids. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the District further reserves the right to reject bids that contain conditions, omissions, exceptions or modifications, or in its sole discretion to waive any irregularities in the bids, or to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid which in the opinion of the District is in its best interest. Summary of work: 1. Replacement of windows & interior sills and storefront on building's southern facade. 2. Restoration, repair and repointing of existing masonry work. Replacement of existing louvers with New. Cleaning, repair and sealing of existing concrete sills. 3. Asbestos abatement work, as relates to each contract's scope. 4. Intent of project is to match finishes (bricks, windows, glazing, louvers, etc.) on recently restored Western elevation. Alucobond / aluminum panels to emulate panels used on cafeteria addition
