The construction work will consist of replacing approximately 1900 LF of 12-inch, 240 LF of 8-inch, 380 LF of 6-inch waterline, appurtenances, and renewal of service laterals on East Bay Street and South Elm Avenue. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Any Bids received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids will be returned to the Bidder unopened. The City reserves the right to retain Bids for a period of 90 days from receipt Each bid must be accompanied by Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Security may be in the form of cash, a certified check made payable to the City of Dunn and drawn on a bank or trust company insured under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or a Bidder's Bond Small, minority, and women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Both Performance Bond and a Payment Bond is required in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract and upon the payment in full to all persons supplying labor and furnishing materials for and in connection with the construction of the project. The Owner reserves the rights to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids The date of availability for this Contract shall be the date upon which the Contractor and the Owner execute the contract. The completion time for this Contract shall be 120 Calendar Days.
