The City of Adrian, Michigan is soliciting Sealed Bids for the following project: Refuse and Recycling Collection Services. Specifically, a five (5) year contract for collection and proper disposal of all refuse types and recycling within the corporate limits of the City of Adrian. The Contract for which bids are sought is to assure the consistent, efficient, healthful, and aesthetic collection and proper disposal of garbage and recyclable materials for residential and city-owned facilities within the corporate limits of the City of Adrian. The Contract term shall be for a period beginning July 1, 2022 and expiring June 30, 2027. If both parties agree, one additional two-year extension of the Agreement in effect may be considered by the City provided that the Contractor submits a Notice to Extend Current Contract no later than June 30, 2026. Anticipated Contract Award Date: February 22, 2022 Anticipated Contract Start Date: July 1, 2022 The City of Adrian may waive informalities and award the bid in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and may accept and award any item of any proposal. The City further reserves the right to reject or refuse any or all bid proposals without stated cause or justification. A Bidder may withdraw a bid proposal prior to the scheduled time and date specified for the opening of bid proposals or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid proposal received after the time and date specified for bid opening shall not be considered by the City of Adrian. A conditional or qualified bid is subject to rejection. The City of Adrian may make investigations it deems necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform and meet all requirements of the Contract. The Bidder shall furnish to the City such information and data for this purpose as the City may request. The City reserves the right to reject any bid without stated cause or justification.
