Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified contractors to repair drywall, paint and varnish the interior of Frederiksen Court Buildings 31-34. The purpose of the pre-proposal meeting/site tour is to answer questions, provide further clarification as may be required and allow field verification of measurements. Contractor must field-verify all measurements provided in these documents. No additional compensation will be made for site measurement discrepancies that could have been made prior to the bid date. Please hold all questions until the pre-proposal meeting. Verbal statements made by ISU representatives at this meeting, regarding changes in this request for proposal, will not be considered binding, unless confirmed by written addenda. Attendance at the pre-proposal meeting/site tour is strongly encouraged since additional site visits would be inconsiderate of the building occupants. Failure to attend or have representation at this meeting will not result in Company or individual being ineligible to participate in the competitive process. Drop in site visits will not be allowed due to current student occupancy. Paint the interior of Frederiksen Court Buildings 31, 32, 33 and 34. b. Patch exiting surfaces that require paint, including filling of gouges, cracks, dents, drywall blemishes, and of holes. Match existing wall and ceiling finish textures. Patch is to extend at least one (1) inch below where base was removed from wall (maximum of three (3) inchesfrom subfloor). c. Painting of interiorsurfacesto include gypsum board walls and ceilings, wood window mullions, and re-varnishing of windows and stairway handrails. Paint is to extend at least one (1) inch below where base wasremoved from wall (maximum of three (3) inchesfrom subfloor). d. Building 31 to have drywall repairs as needed for a fire systems upgrade performed by Others. Drywall repairs to consist of approximately three (3) locations per hallway on each floor, three (3) locations per stairway, eleven (11) locations per accessible apartment (quantity of 2), and six (6) locations per standard apartment (quantity of 22). Locations are approximately 12" x 12" in size. Drywall to be placed, taped, sanded, retextured and painted. This work to be performed out of sequence and completed prior to April 29, 2022 with regards to the Life Cycle Schedule. Contractor to provide unit cost for quantities exceeding the above referenced location count
