The general nature of the improvement consists of clearing, channel grading, channel fill, rock fill, boulder placement, seeding and restoration, and other components as outlined in the project documents to facilitate fish passage for two roadway culverts. SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION DATE: June 10, 2022 The Nature Conservancy in Missouri reserves the right to accept any bid that they believe is in their best interest. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in a form acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract. The bid security must be in the minimum amount of 5% of the total bid. Bid security shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Missouri or drawn on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Missouri or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in Missouri or satisfactory to the Owner. Bidders should visit the site to become familiar with the nature and extent of work to be performed and local conditions that may affect the work. Coordinate visits with owner.
