Description

Site work and new construction of an educational facility in State College, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a 290,000-square-foot educational facility.

Plans call for the construction of an academic building with general-purpose classroom and academic unit offices, research space and teaching labs for aerospace engineering, architectural engineering, acoustics, and civil and environmental engineering. West 1 also will house offices for student support units, including the Center for Engineering Outreach and Inclusion, the Center for Global Engineering Engagement and the Engineering Advising Center. As of December 17, 2021, construction is underway. West 1 is expected to be complete by fall 2023.
