Background Metro Government of Nashville & Davidson County maintains 2,447 centerline miles of roadways. During fiscal year 2021, approximately 600 tons of litter were removed by Metro crews along these roads. Metro's roadside maintenance is performed three times/year with crews addressing special requests reported to hubNashville as time allows. Metro would like to engage a contractor to provide monthly roadside litter removal to improve the community appearance and quality of life for our residents and visitors. Project Summary This work shall consist of removal and disposal of litter items along Metro Nashville & Davidson County Right-of-Way, property, roadways including shoulders, stream banks, and easements from the ground up to the utility lines (streetlights, electric poles, etc.). For the purposes of this contract litter shall include any object or group of objects foreign to the right-of-way or within the areas defined above which has been discarded or abandoned. Examples under this definition include but are not limited to paper, plastic, bottles, cans, bags of trash and other debris but does not include large bulky items such as tires, mattresses, furniture, etc. The initial period of this contract is 12 months. Up to 4 additional 12 month periods may be awarded. The contract will not extend past 60 months in total. Questions will be answered formally via Amendment to the solicitation soon after the deadline for submitting questions. Offerors must clearly understand that the only official answer or position of Metro will be the one stated in writing by Division of Procurement staff.
