Renovation of a mixed-use development in McDonough, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The design intent of this project is to equip the HVAC system for all Henry County Georgia Schools with Needle Point Bi-Polar Ionization (NPBI) units. All classroom HVAC units which do not already have NPBI installed are shown to be equipped with new NPBI units. Classrooms are defined as any space with a teacher and students. The HVAC units shown on the Drawings and on the Schedules have been identified (by reviewing existing drawings) as not have existing NPBI units installed. This project is funded by Federal Stimulus Funds and will be subject to the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ("ARRA") of 2009 which requires, compliance with Federal Davis-Bacon Act, 40 USC 3141 et. Seq. and other Federal statutes and regulations. Only a bid submitted by a Bidder on record with the Architect as having received plans and specifications from the Architect will be opened. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
