Renovation of an educational facility in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility. Design-Build Services (DB)for Project No. BR-69-2201-DB Campus-Wide HVAC Commissioning & Renewal, Savannah State University, Savannah, Georgia as described in the attached RFQ. The Owner is not considering LEED Certification of this facility; however, the project will incorporate the requirements of the Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Construction Act (SB 130) (O.C.G.A. 50-8-18) and may include other sustainable concepts where feasible to do so. Project Delivery Method This project will utilize Design/Build as the project delivery method, and, as a minimum, will employ the services of a team that includes the Design Principal, General Contractor or Construction Manager. A Commissioning Agent has been engaged by the owner to provide integrated HVAC commissioning services for this project. Project Budget The Guaranteed Maximum Price is estimated at $5,388,000 The preliminary stated cost limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $4,726,480. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. Project Schedule The Design Builders (DB) services are anticipated to commence by March, 2022 with construction documents anticipated for completion in July 2022. The start of construction is contingent on the availability of funding. (All of the dates above are estimates and are contingent on the availability of funding).
