Removal and replacement of existing waste, vent cast iron piping lines with PVC material. ESTIMATED COST: $3,100,000. The proposed improvement is officially known as "South Tower and Round "West" Wing cast iron piping replacement" which consists of removal and replacement of existing waste, vent cast iron piping lines with PVC material. These lines are serving areas of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and roof levels of South Tower and Round "West" Wing from point of connection at main waste water riser locations at slab level of the 1st floo and up to point of connections for toilets, floor sinks/drains, wall mounted/cabinet sinks, showers and equipment to roof level or above to meet current code requirements for plumbing venting. Toilet carriers/closet flanges to be replaced with new at current existing locations. Underground/under slab main lines will be snaked/augured using appropriate sized head and verified clear using a camera system from 1st floor slab connection points, to point of connection of onsite sewer. Camera footage confirming this uguring work will be required and reviewed prior to any final acceptance. All new piping shall be properly supported to code/ manufacturer's requirements. All new plastic pipe used as waste or "wet" pipe will be wrapped with sound insulation.
