Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Manor, Delaware. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Federal Aid No. N/A Pre-bid Meeting: No Location: New Castle County The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for the replacement of Bridge 1-180 on Grant Avenue over Mill Creek. This work includes the removal of the existing four corrugated metal pipes and replacing them with a precast concrete three-sided rigid frame and wingwalls. Additional work includes minor reconstruction of the approach roadway and placement of riprap in the stream for scour protection. Work will be performed under a full road closure with a detour for vehicular traffic. Follow other incidental construction in accordance with the location, notes and details shown on the plans, and as directed by the engineer. All work on this contract must be complete within 117 Calendar Days. The Contract Time includes an allowance for 33 Weather Days. The Department's intent is to issue a Notice to Proceed for work to start on or about July 1, 2022. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit of either surety bond or security for a sum equal to at least 10% of the amount bid.
