The SJCCD College-Wide Higher Performing Buildings Initiative is a systematic effort to engage mechanical engineers well versed in the design and operation of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems in the general Houston climate; and to employ both their general knowledge of HVAC principles and their specific knowledge of SJCCD buildings and HVAC system design (or equivalent college or university structures) to assess existing conditions to determine if a cost effective path exists for the conversion of said systems to those which can be operated in a manner that significantly enhances the quality of supplied air (when so required). The College will award the required design and project development to the firm or firms it deems most qualified for that effort, which may or may not be the same firm which conducted the initial evaluation. January 4, 2022 - Questions and/or Clarifications Deadline Requests for questions and clarifications regarding RFQ documents shall be submitted through the Questions tab in IonWave by 5:00 p.m. Central Time to be considered. January 6, 2022 - Issuance of final addendum, if necessary. February - March 2022 - Recommendation of award and approval to enter into a contract. Award will be announced after approval received. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
