The City of Durham, North Carolina Department of Water Management is requesting Statement of Qualifications from consulting firms to provide Professional Engineering Consulting Services for the Miscellaneous Waterline Replacement Project. The selected consulting firm will provide design, surveying, SUE, bid/award, construction administration, construction observation and public relations services associated with the replacement of approximately 10,300 LF of existing waterlines with 8,000 LF of new waterlines in the identified areas throughout Durham. The City anticipates that at the conclusion of the RFP process, it will name one successful contractor and negotiate a final contract based on the services detailed in the RFP. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, valve locating, valve exercising, reporting data of valve assessments, manhole cleaning, and manhole inspection. The selected contractor will be responsible for working closely with City staff and its representatives to ensure proper system inspection is performed.
