Contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing and installing sporting event lighting. UNCW is building a new recreation field that will support sporting events such as soccer (50 foot candles), tennis (75 foot candles), sand volleyball (80 foot candles) and basketball (50 foot candles). Contractor must provide pricing for the number of foot candles stated; however, the University reserves the right to request more or less foot candles prior to project completion. Contractor is responsible for providing and installing recreation field lighting that meets collegiate recreational field standards and meets local, state and federal regulations. Contractor must review the construction plans listed in Attachment G of this RFP and provide drawings and specifications of lighting that will be provided for this project. The University is responsible for providing electrical power to the project site. Contractor's materials and labor must meet the following requirements A. Installation by a North Carolina licensed Contractor; B. New steel lighting poles installed to withstand 150 mph winds; C. Provide energy efficient LED lighting that meets collegiate recreational lighting standards; D. UL Certified lighting systems; E. On-site Lighting control systems for on/off control; F. Remote lighting control systems for on/off control and dimming; G. Provide an assigned Project Manager to coordinate services with the University and their construction contractor; and H. Provide 24/7 customer support for lighting systems. No trade is available for Renovation Severity.
