The project scope at the University of Texas at Dallas Bioengineering Sciences Building (BSB) includes partial demolition and finish out of lab spaces, offices and open offices at basement Level (Level 0). 2. Finish out space will receive new lighting, ceiling, flooring, interior finishes, doors, door hardware and supporting lab equipment. 3. Scope also includes associated modifications to the building's MEP systems tosupport new labs and offices. 4. The buildings will incorporate automatic fire detection and an automatic sprinkler system throughout. 5. The buildings will have a minimum two means of egress from each level. During an emergency the buildings will have a separate voice/alarm communication system. All of the above life safety systems will be provided with back-up power from the project's emergency generators. 6. Renovation area: 8,760 SF The scope includes finish out of lab spaces, offices, and open offices at basement level.
