The Work to be performed for the PROJECT will consist of furnishing all labor, supervision, permits, licenses, supplies, equipment, and materials for the removal and proper disposal of certain asbestos-containing floor tile and floor tile mastic, transite board, pipe fittings, insulation, chalk boards, adhesive, glazed ceramic tile, florescent bulbs, and other hazardous materials described in the Project Manual. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Treasurer's Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of the Upper Merion Area School District, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended amount of the total of the Proposal, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. Proposals shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of Bid opening. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this Project, and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, natural origin, or disability. The Board reserves the right to waive informalities, award bids in the best interest of the school district, and to reject in part or total any or all bids. The Work will be substantially by August 12, 2022 as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on August 15, 2022.
