Scope incudes full HVAC replacement of approximately 80,000 SF Carson Elementary School Approximately 40,000SF of new acoustical Ceiling Tile & Grid, Associated Electrical, Lighting and Condensate piping. BASIS OF BID: Proposals will be made of a single contract, lump-sum amount for all work shown or described in the contract documents. BID BOND: Bid bonds are NOT required for submission of bids PERFORMANCE BOND, STATUTORY BOND AND MAINTENANCE BOND: If Alternate 1 is accepted the successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for bonds covering faithful performance of the contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder and against defective workmanship or materials which may arise during the one year following completion and acceptance of the project. Furnish bonds in such form as the Owner may prescribe and with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Bidder's bond surety shall be listed in the current revision of U.S. Department of Treasury Circular, "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds." The Bidder shall deliver said bonds to the Owner no later than the date of execution of the contract. Failure or neglecting to deliver said bonds, as specified, shall be retained as liquidated damages. Bonds shall be written for the sum equal to the contract price, including accepted alternate bids. CONTRACTORS: There shall be only one contractor named for each classification listed. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATION STATEMENT: At CM's request bidders will be required to submit with a Contractor's Qualification Statement, AIA Document A305. Submittal of an advertising brochure is not permitted. Such statement shall be notarized. A financial statement is NOT required with the qualification statement, but should be available upon request after the bid opening.
