The Municipality is soliciting proposals from qualified professional firms to perform a Facilities Assessment Study ("Assessment Study") on its behalf. The Assessment Study will provide an analysis of the Princeton Municipal Complex located at 400 Witherspoon Street, which includes municipal operations at 380 Witherspoon Street and 1 Valley Road. The Municipality seeks to consolidate municipal staff at the Princeton Municipal Complex from other properties which are owned by the Municipality, including One Monument Drive and 303 John Street. Additionally, the Assessment Study shall include an analysis of the other properties owned by Princeton as well as the "Valley Road" building owned by the Princeton School District, and will evaluate the viability for development. The Municipality's goal is for the Assessment Study to be used to design improvements at 400 and 380 Witherspoon Street, as well evaluate other public properties for their suitability for public use, including an analysis of whether those other public properties can be developed or re-purposed to meet specific public or quasi-public needs not suitable for inclusion at 400 and 380 Witherspoon Street. The Assessment Study should incorporate existing needs and estimate the future needs projected out 10-15 years and evaluate options for renovation and new construction. Princeton reserves the right to interview one or more prospective firms, to request additional information from one or more firms, and to negotiate with one or more firms. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
