Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Work consists of water, sewer, drainage, and roadway improvements on Sanderson Street. Specifically, work consists of the construction and testing of approximately 2,643 feet of new 8- inch DICL water main and new water service and fire hydrant connections; abandonment of the existing aging and undersized 6-inch CI water main; construction and testing of approximately 1,048 feet of new 8-inch PVC gravity sanitary sewer main, new sewer service connections, replacement of 7 sewer manholes with precast concrete manholes, and installation of 1 new sewer manhole; replacement of approximately 1,175 feet of deteriorated, cracked or broken drain pipes ranging in size from 6 to 12-inch, replacement of 5 drain manholes, installation of 1 new drain manhole, and replacement of 12 catch basins with new precast concrete structures; curedin-place lining (inversion method) of approximately 240 feet of 6-inch, 831 feet of 8-inch and 200 feet of 20-inch clay sewer, and approximately 328 feet of 12-inch and 291 feet of 15-inch clay drain; replacement of approximately 650 SY of asphalt sidewalk with concrete sidewalk; trench and driveway repair; replacement of approximately 2,610 feet of asphalt berm; milling and paving of approximately 3,045 SY of roadway; by-pass pumping; and related work. The Bid Security from the Contractor in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check, drawn upon a responsible bank in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be made payable to the City of Greenfield, Massachusetts and shall be enclosed with the bid. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials (Payment) Bond in the full amount of the contract, will be required of the successful bidder. Attention is called to the following: A. Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. B. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. C. All pertinent regulations ordinances and statutes of the City of Greenfield and the State of Massachusetts will be rigidly enforced. D. The successful bidder must comply with Chapter 151B as amended, of the Massachusetts General Laws and with the provisions of Executive Order No. 74, as amended by Executive Order No. 116 dated May 1, 1975 pertaining to Equal Opportunity AntiDiscrimination and Affirmative Action. The responsible and eligible bidder offering the lowest price shall be awarded the project, subject to the availability of funding. The City of Greenfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
