Request for Proposal (RFP) method of procurement, Calallen Independent School District (the District) is soliciting Proposals from qualified vendors for Library Facility Remodel Services at the High School and Magee Intermediate facilities. Using the Request for Proposals (RFP) method of procurement, Calallen Independent School District (the District) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide for Library Facility Remodel Services. These services will be delivered at the High School and Magee intermediate campuses. Any and all offers tendered as a result of this procurement must be of equal or superior in quality to the specifications within this document. The Scope ofWork will consist ofremodeling various aspects ofthe library interior elements such as altering the floorplan, removal and installation of carpeting, installation oftile, interior wall paint, construction ofnew counter tops, and installation of additional electrical capacity as indicated within the specifications provided. CASEWORK 1. Remove and relocate floor mounted book casework as designated; 2. Remove sections of book casework to create shorter shelving unit as designated; 3. Construct new laminate tops for book casework and all interior countertops. Laminate will be equivalent to Wilsonart, Standard Laminate, Pearl Soapstone, Model # 4886-38, Fine Velvet Finish; 4. Remove existing computer counters from North wall adjacent to library entrance; 5. Remove approximately 30 linear feet ofwall mounted book shelves from East wall; 6. Relocate and permanently attach wall shelves to North wall adjacent to the library entrance; SPECIAL NOTE: Ifthe 30' ofEast wall shelves cannot be reused on the North wall, Contractor may provide Alternate pricing for the construction of new book cases to match; 7. Remove Existing counter on West wall adjacent to storage and replace with revised and lengthened counter top (Pearl Soapstone) to accommodate Maker Space rolling carts; ELECTRICAL EAST WALL 13. Install four (4) additional duplex electrical outlets for floor use on East wall. Ten (10) amps for each duplex. Use exterior conduit ifrequired and paint to match; 14. Install one (1) additional duplex electrical outlet on East wall with Ten (10) amp capacity for owner furnished wall mounted Flat Panel Display. Use exterior conduit ifrequiredand paint to match; 15. Install two (2) additional Cat 6e communications cables for wall mounted Flat Panel Display with exterior conduit and paint to match; 16. Install owner furnished Flat Panel Display where designated; 17. Owner to determine placement; FLOORING 8. Install owner furnished carpet squares under removed book casework as indicated; 9. Replace carpet squares with owner furnished laminate floor materials as required; 10. Assist the District in palletizing any excess flooring materials for storage; 11. Scope ofthe tile installation will be clarified during the site visit; 12. Replace and or install vinyl base cove as needed. Cove must be equivalent to TS Wallflowers Rubber (WF-078), TP Base 2000 (B2-078), TV Vinyl (VCB-078) at 1/8" The District is an Equal Opportunity employer.
