Sealed bids addressed to the City of Russellville, Attn: Financial Department will be received at the City Hall at 203 South Commerce, Russellville, Arkansas (mailing address: 203 South Commerce, Russellville, AR 72801), until 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, and then publicly opened and read for furnishing all labor, material, and equipment and performing all work required for the following project: The Removal of Unoccupied, Dilapidated Structure project consists of the removal of building structure, building material, concrete work, gravel, asphalt, and other related items as described in Resolution No. 1969 at the following location: The successful bidder will agree to complete all work described in plans and specifications on or before March 31, 2022. Failure to complete the work within specified time limits shall subject the contractor to liquidated damages for delay. The attention of bidders is called to the fact that Act 150 of 1965 (as amended), Arkansas Statutes, states that a Contractor must be licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors before he may undertake work when the cost thereof in Arkansas is Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) or more. All submitted bids must include a copy of: 1) the State of Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board Certificate; 2) a certificate of general liability insurance carried by the bidder; 3) and a bid bond of 5% of the amount of the bid. Failure to include any one of the three aforementioned items with the bid shall result in the bid being disqualified from consideration. By submitting bids to the City in consideration of this project, bidders agree, as evidenced by the submission of their bid to the City, to abide by the submission requirements as stated within this ad. All debris from the demolished structure on the land must be disposed of in a Class 1 Landfill and the landfill receipts for the depositing of the debris in the Class 1 Landfill must be turned in to the City of Russellville to attain payment for services rendered.
