For the Bid #22-58 Division St Reconstruction Between W 76 Th St and the Access to Sterilite - Rise Number Rm-1827-(689)-9d-82 and Work Incidental Thereto in and for the City of Davenport, Iowa: Contractors and subcontractors on this project will undergo a standardized evaluation upon completion of the work. The results of this evaluation may influence the determination of the contractor's eligibility to bid on future projects as governed by the purchasing policies and city code of the City of Davenport. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by Shive-Hattery and City Staff. Copies of plans and specifications may be obtained from the City of Davenport's electronic bid submission system, You must be registered as a supplier in the system to submit a bid. This is a one-time, no-fee registration. We encourage you to start building your bid early with the required attachments. The system will save your work. C. Each bid shall be made in the electronic system no later than January 17, 2022 @ 2:00 PM CT . The system will not accept late bids. No paper, faxed, or emailed bids will be accepted. D. Prices in bid should be free of all sales taxes. G. Working Days - The City Council is expected to approve award of the contract on February 9, 2022. Contractor shall be prepared to attend a Pre-Construction meeting after the contract is awarded and before the start of the construction. The execution of contract documents shall be expedited to allow for an expected project start no later than mid March. The Contractor will be required to have the project substantially completed by July 1, 2022. Substantial completion shall include all project work with the exception the final project seeding and pavement marking, which may be delayed due to application restrictions. H. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be $1000.00 per calendar day. I. Manufacturer's written warranties and guarantees shall also be required from the awarded bidder. J. Bidders must include with the bid submittal a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability,Workers Compensation, and Vehicle insurance coverages.
