Liquidated Damages $1500 per calendar day Project Duration 109 Working Days The Victoria Basin Monitoring Well Project includes the construction of a stilling well, level logger station, survey monument, two staff gauge stations, a flow meter installation (meter provided by the District) and two monitoring wells. All construction activities will occur within boundary of WMWD's Victoria Basin site. Portions of this Project will occur within active recharge basins. By accepting award of the contract, the contractor acknowledges and agrees to the risk to materials, equipment and personnel associated with working in an active drainage and basin system. The contractor will be solely responsible for all contractor materials, equipment and personnel at the jobsite for the duration of the project. The contractor will be responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of any and all flow/water exclusion systems (if required), dewatering systems and any and all groundwater and surface water management techniques/systems. Techniques, materials and equipment used to control flow will be subject to approval by the owner. However, owner review and approval does in no way transfer liability, cost or risk to the owner. The contractor will be required to move personnel, equipment and materials out of the basins, channel or other alignments within the path of flow prior to a storm event or when flows may exceed controls put in-place by the contractor.
