The School District of Jenkintown will be receiving sealed bids for Jenkintown School District High School/Middle School Asbestos Abatement of specified work areas; in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared by Criterion Laboratories, Inc. 400 Street Road, Bensalem, Pa. 19020. Project consists of removal and disposal of asbestos transite panels, pipe fittings and plaster ceilings in designated classrooms of the High School/Middle School. Single Lump Sum Bids will be received for the Work being included under the Contract. Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount of 10 percent of the Base Bid submitted, made payable to the Owner, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, if awarded the Contract, enter into a Contract with the Owner in accordance with Bid submitted and the Contract Documents. Work may commence on or after June 20, 2022, and be completed by July 8, 2022. BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Contractor will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount of 100 percent of Contract Amount. OWNERS RIGHTS: Owner reserves the right to reject a Bid which is incomplete or irregular, the right to wave informalities or irregularities in a Bid received, and the right to accept a Bid which in the Owners judgment is in Owners best interests. WAGE DETERMINATION REQUIREMENTS: Contract is subject to compliance with the applicable Schedule of Prevailing Wages Rates, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
