Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
Project no: 115-201, (21123) This project involves the construction of bus stations, curb bump-outs, traffic signal improvements, concrete sidewalk work, and landscaping at various locations in the City of Albany, as well as highway and structural improvements to the bridge over NY-RT 85 connecting the Campus Access Road to the intersection of Brevator Street and construction of a new roundabout and new traffic signals near the Corssgates Mall in the Town of Guilderland. The project also includes the installation of bus shelters, shelter amenities, the bus pylon sign and accompanying electrical equipment at each bus station. The entity chosen to conduct this work will require specific expertise and knowledge in the following areas: Municipal civil work including drainage, concrete and pavement work General contractor with ability to manage specialty work (traffic signals, bus shelter installations, electrical specialty work) NYSDOT Construction bidding procedures, practices and specifications Questions Due: January 12, 2022 - 11:00am Contract duration: Two Years from Notice to Proceed Questions regarding this Invitation for Bids are to be submitted in writing to Stacy Sansky, Director of Procurement (sdsansky@cdta.org, fax-518-437-8348 or via mailing address listed above) No later than 11:00AM on January 12, 2022. All employees are to be paid in accordance with Davis Bacon Act and New York State Prevailing Wage schedules when applicable. Liquidated damages will apply to this Contract and will be outlined further in this document. liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards employed in violation of this clause in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by this clause. This work is anticipated to start on or around April 1, 2022. Each project component will be held to different completion dates. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid, A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid, A payment bond based on the total bid The CDTA reserves the right to reject any bid who is not able to demonstrate financial stability sufficient for the scope of the bid, or who refuses to provide the requested evidence of financial stability within five (5) days of its request. This work is anticipated to start on or around April 1, 2022. Each project component will be held to different completion dates.
