Lake County Sanitation District (LACOSAN) invites proposals from qualified consultants to provide engineering and design services for the North Lakeport Water Treatment Plant Drought Resiliency Project in Lake County, CA. The envelopes must be clearly marked as "REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE NORTH LAKEPORT WATER TREATMENT PLANT DROUGHT RESILIENCY PROJECT." North Lakeport Water Treatment Plant (NLWTP) serves customers in the County Service Area #21 and is managed by the County of Lake Special District (District). The system serves a population of approximately 3,900. The NLWTP currently sources its water from Clear Lake, from an intake structure located approximately 1,100 feet off shore. Due to recent drought conditions the District recently lowered the lake intake by several feet. In an effort to mitigate the effects of drought on the system the District is looking at extending the lake intake approximately 600-900 feet and constructing a municipal well. Consultants are expected to provide a detailed scope of work that covers the items outlined in the Request for Proposals, along with any additional items that the Consultant deems necessary to provide full service to the District in delivering the described project.
