City of Lilburn - Main Street & Railroad Avenue Streets cape Phase 1 consists of the following: Creating a four way stop with street lighting and brick signalized crosswalks at the intersection of Main Street and First Avenue and storm drainage improvements; Improvements along Main Street from First Avenue to Railroad Avenue including milling, repaving,striping, addition of 90 degree parking along the north side, curb and gutter, conversion of parking to 90 degrees on the south side, a raised midblock brick and signalized crosswalk, extension of the mural wall in front of Music on Main, a flush brick and signalized crosswalk, new sidewalks, pedestrian lighting, grated street trees, and street signs, landscaping, and a storm pipe drainage system on the north side; Improvements along Railroad Avenue from Main Street south toward the old Builders Steel Supply including milling, repaving, new curb and gutter, new sidewalks, pedestrian lighting, landscaping, 90 degree on-street parking, an elevated walkway with railing adjacent to Antiques in Old Town, a sidewalk from Railroad Avenue to the Camp Creek Green way Trail parking lot, and a storm pipe drainage system; New parking lot behind Antiques in Old Town that connects Railroad Avenue with the off street parking lot adjacent to 1910 Public House, new dumpster enclosure, sidewalk, ramp, landscaping, and storm pipe drainage system; Driveway and sidewalk improvements along the east side of First Avenue from Velva Way to Main Street. Questions and substitution requests must be submitted in writing via email to kbarker@ppi.us by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, to be considered. Owner requires a bid bond issued by a Surety listed on the Treasury as licensed in the State of Georgia, or a cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of your total bid to be enclosed with your bid at the time of bid opening to be made payable to the owner. No other form of security will be acceptable. Any and all packages received without the aforementioned criteria enclosed will be returned to Bidder. Contract will be awarded on a stipulated sum to the most responsive and responsible Bidder presenting the lowest acceptable Bid, based on the Lump Sum Base Bid plus any combination of Alternates (if appropriate) acceptable to Owner. Owner reserves the rights to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities and informalities, and to re-advertise. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within the time limit specified in Section 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders.
