Site work for a water / sewer project in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Any Bidder who wishes its bid to be considered is responsible for making certain that its bid is received in the City Clerk Office by the proper time. No oral, telegraphic, electronic, facsimile or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered unless specified. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening time will be returned unopened. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid bond duly completed on the form provided herewith by a guaranty company authorized to carry on business in the State of Florida, in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the sum of the total amount bid, including any options. Said bond is payable without condition to the City of Hialeah Gardens as a guaranty that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute the contract in accordance with the Bid in manner and form required by these contract documents. The Bid Security shall be forfeited to the City of Hialeah Gardens as liquidated damages in the case of failure or neglect of the bidder to furnish, execute and deliver to the City of Hialeah Gardens the required performance bond, payment bond and evidences of insurance, and to enter into, execute and deliver to the City of Hialeah Gardens the contract on the form provided herewith, within ten (10) days after being notified in writing by the City of Hialeah Gardens that the award has been made and the contract is ready for execution. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract before commencement of work and conforming to the contract documents. Sheeting, Shoring and Bracing. When applicable, each bid shall contain as a bid item, adequate sheeting, shoring and bracing, or equivalent method for the protection of life and limb in trenches and open excavation, which shall conform to applicable safety orders.
