The Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District is soliciting bids for the Energy Management Control System Replacement. The estimated budget for this project is $350,000 and the estimated substantial completion date is the end of August 1, 2022. Each General Bidder must submit a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility from DCAMM showing that it is eligible to bid on the project. Each General Bidder must also submit an Update Statement with its bid.The work of this contract will require a DCAMM Prime General Contractor certified in Electrical Controls work. The bid process and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, BVT is closed due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, wind, or building evacuation, the bid opening will be postponed to the same time on the next normal business day. Attention is called to the fact that supplies furnished as part of this Contract are exempt from the Sales and Use Tax. All bids submitted should take this factor into consideration and be calculated accordingly. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bid deposits may be in the form of Certified Check, Certificate of Deposit, or Bid Bond made payable to Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District. The Awarded Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to BVT. The contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The time for award may be extended by mutual agreement between BVT and the awarded bidder. Proposals must include ALL DOCUMENTS required by the Invitation for Bid. The Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional District School Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in part or in whole, at their sole discretion. The decision of the School Committee shall be final and binding on all bidders without recourse. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rate for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract.
