Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The City of Northampton invites Bids to prepare three downtown sites for the City to install new dual-port ChargePoint CT-4021 Electric Vehicle Service Equipment. The three sites are Strong Avenue Public Parking Lot, Roundhouse Public Parking Lot and at the bottom of the hill along Crafts Avenue. The winning bidder will provide trenching and other site work, provide and installconduits, wiring, distribution panels, pad-mounted cabinets, electric meters, circuit breakers,EVSE mounting pads, protective bollards and balance of parts needed at each site, 29-Apr-2022 Completion of work At Strong Avenue Parking Lot In addition to the scope of work detailed in attached documents for the Strong Ave. Parking Lot, the selected bidder will: Meet with City staff to determine precisely where the two dual-port EVSEs, the distribution cabinet and the bollards will be located, and the exact configuration of the four parking spaces (including one handicap space) to be served by the EVSEs. Delegate design and provide stamped plans for electric service that meets the requirements given in the attached documents for the Strong Ave. Parking Lot. Provide and install Distribution Panel with electric meter on a new electric account, protective bollards, and (4) 40A Circuit Breakers to serve the EV Charging Stations. Trench, run conduit, and install electric cable between the new electrical distribution cabinet and the existing transformer (T4-13249) -- distance to be field verified. Trench and run conduit (60ft +/-) from the Distribution Cabinet to the EV Charging Station pads -- distance to be field verified. NOTE: conduit only, no wires. At Roundhouse Parking Lot In addition to the scope of work detailed in attached documents for the Roundhouse Parking Lot, the selected bidder will: Meet with City staff to determine precisely where the distribution cabinet will be located. Delegate design and provide stamped plans for electric service that meets the requirements given in the attached documents for the Roundhouse Parking Lot. Provide and install Distribution Panel with electric meter on a new electric account with two (2) 40A Circuit Breakers to serve one EV Charging Station. Trench, run conduit, and install electric cable between the new electrical distribution cabinet and the existing transformer -- distance to be field verified. Trench and run conduit from the Distribution Cabinet to the conduit connection marked by the witness stake -- distance to be field verified. NOTE: conduit only, no wires. Remove construction debris from site. The City will manage signage and installation (including pulling wire from the new distribution panel), activation, and configuration of new EVSEs. Along Crafts Avenue Meet with City staff to determine if there needs to be any change in position from the existing EVSE location. Remove the existing AeroViroment EVSE and pad at Crafts Avenue while protecting existing electric wire and EVSE. Deliver the removed AeroViroment EVSE to the City in working condition. Replace removed pad with a new pad using the ChargePoint CT4001 Bollard Concrete Mounting Kit (Kit to be provided by City) Pull existing wires through conduit going through the pad and make safe. Remove construction debris from site. The City will manage signage and installation, activation, and configuration of new EVSE.
