Demolition and site work for a residential development in Springfield, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
All wages paid for work under this Contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Sec 290.210 et seq., R.S. Mo., as amended by the Division of Labor Standards, State of Missouri and regulations promulgated by the Division of Labor. The cutoff for any questions pertaining to this bid is JANUARY 13, 2022, 2:45 P.M., CST. The award of the Contract, if it is awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder(s) whose qualifications indicate that awarding the Contract to said bidder(s) is in the best interest of the City and whose Bid complies with all prescribed requirements. Proposed time of completion of the work or delivery of goods will also be taken into consideration. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or waive any minor irregularity or technicality in any Bids received. Time of completion of work by the Contractor is of the essence. Should Contractor, or in the case of default, the surety (If Applicable), fail to complete the work within the consecutive calendar days identified in the Purchase Order; shall be liable to the City for Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per day for each and every calendar day that the contract remains uncompleted after the time allowed for completion, as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, it being stipulated that actual damages to the City and the public arising from Contractor's failure to timely complete the work would be difficult, if not impossible, to ascertain. The amount assessed as liquidated damages may be withheld from any moneys otherwise due to Contractor from the City. The bond so furnished shall be in the amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the total bid price. Checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three lowest qualified bidders within ten (10) days after the opening of bids and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned within five working (5) days after the City of Springfield and the successful bidder have executed the contract for the work. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond with surety approved by the City and on the forms approved by the City. Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract conditioned upon the full and faithful performance of all major terms and conditions of this contract and payment of all labor and material suppliers
