Site work for a water / sewer project in Burlington Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these specifications to have the existing production well, known as Well No. 8, mechanically redeveloped to increase the capacity of the well. The work includes two (2) 8-hour pumping tests at the well to determine the present yield and drawdown of the well and the upgraded capacity of the well upon completion of the work; removal of the existing pump and other equipment; furnishing and installing a new well pump; Installing new high efficiency motors for Well No. 8 and associated wet well; replacing of worn or defective components prior to reinstallation of the well components or equipment; TV inspection of existing well conditions; well redevelopment using the specified mechanical methods and chemicals; vibration testing and clean-up and site restoration. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township of Burlington, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Township of Burlington for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Payment, Performance and Maintenance Bonds upon the award of Contract. A "Surety Disclosure Statement and Certification" form must also accompany the bid pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:44-143. The signed proposal form and bid security must be delivered to either: (1) the Office of the Township Engineer via US Mail, FedEx, UPS or other Courier Service on or before the hour named above; (2) the site of the bid opening indicated herein on or before the hour named above, but no more than 30 minutes prior to the bid opening; or (3) a drop box labeled "Bids - Contract #2021-01" that will be located outside of the rear entrance to Municipal Center (adjacent to the Police Dept. entrance) on or before the hour named above and up to 48 hours prior to the bid opening. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned within three days after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Payment and Performance Bonds, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays excepted. The Township Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Township Council, makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law. IN GENERAL, the work on this project consists ofthe redevelopment of the existing potable water production well, known as Well No. 8, to increase the capacity ofthe well. The work also includes the replacement of the existing Well No. 8 pump and motor and the replacement of the associated clear well pump motor. The work shall be performed by a well driller possessing a valid NJ Well Drilling & Pump Installer License, a copy of which shall be submitted with the bid. The work ofthis Contract includes the following Purchase and installation of new well pump assembly, column pipe, line shaft and any other associated materials. This equipment shall be delivered to the well site or the Contractor's shop prior to the start of pump testing and well redevelopment. Perform initial 8-hour pumping test at the well to determine the yield and drawdown ofthe well. During the pumping test, perform vibration testing. Provide written report. Mechanical redevelopment ofthe well using the Riser Swabbing or High-Pressure Jetting Method in conjunction with approved chemicals. This work includes: Removal of the existing pump, motor and related equipment from Well No. 8 and removal of the existing motor from the associated Well No. 8 Clear Well. All costs necessary for ten (10), eight (8) hour working days in redevelopment work only for the well. All required equipment and personnel, mobilization, demobilization, set up and breakdown time at the beginning of or the completion of the redevelopment work will not be considered as redevelopment time. However, the installation and removal of the Contractor's developing pump and associated equipment in and out ofthe wells will be considered redevelopment time. Sterilization of well prior to returning same to service including the cost of all chemicals, pumping and required water analysis
