On January 4, 2021, the City of Bloomington received $2.3 mil-lion from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Develop-ment (HUD) in Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Supplemental funding. The City of Blooming-ton estimates 92 projects to be completed by July, 2024. The City of Bloomington through its sub recipient organization, Mid Central Community Action (MCCA), is requesting Propos-als from lead abatement con-tractors licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The original date for submission of the RFQ was January 31, 2022. Due to the difficulties created by the Omi-cron Covid 19 variant, the City of Bloomington has decided to extend the RFQ deadline until March 31st 2022. Mid Central Community Action is currently accepting bids for the following goods and serv-ices: HUD Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Project All questions must be submit-ted to: John Kinsinger, Director of Property Administration, johnkgmccainc.org. MCCA/COB estimates 92 projects to be completed by July 3rd, 2024 or until all funds have been exhausted.
