Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; water / sewer project; and parking garage.
The Scope includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals for the Enhancement and Retrofit of the Ravenswood Transit Facility. The work will include but is not limited to performing several Tasks that repair and replace materials and equipment within the facility - Concrete and asphalt repair; correcting vertical cracks in walls; remediating and correcting concrete drives to create positive drainage; providing a new lightning protection system for the facility; repair and reseal parking garage ramp; refurbishing two existing heating units for the paint booth as indicated on the Drawings. Goal Participation: This solicitation includes participation goals for certified County Business Enterprises. Refer to Special Instructions to Vendors for additional information. Workforce One Investment Program applies to this contract. Refer to Workforce Investment Program Requirements section for additional information. County/State License Requirements: In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (Refer to Special Instructions for requirements). Bid Guaranty: Each submittal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount (Refer to Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Guaranties, and Qualifications of Surety Requirements). Bid Allowance Amounts: This solicitation includes a pass-thru allowance. It is not necessary to add your allowance amounts into your bid prices. automatically add the allowance amounts indicated to your bid total and will be reflected on the final bid tabulation. Basis for Award - Total Bid Award: It is the intent of the County to award this contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder by total bid price. A bidder must bid on all items to be considered for award; otherwise, the group will be construed as incomplete and may be rejected. Questions and Answers: The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The County will respond to all questions . The County will not consider solicitation responses received by other means. Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through , immediately notify the Purchasing Agent and then contact for technical assistance. This solicitation has the following County Business Enterprise Goals: 25% CBE Goals Elements of the Work Scope include, but are not limited to: 1. Removing and replacing concrete pads and asphalt over existing tanks with adjustments to all covers/collars. (Task 2) 2. Removing damaged areas along vertical cracks and create a proper expansion joint including patching. (Task 3) 3. Removing select concrete, drive / pads to create new positive drainage to new catch basins and trench drains. (Task 4) 4. Provide new zone lightning protection system for the facility. (Task 5) 5. Repair and repoint joints along the parking garage ramp, resealing, caulking, and epoxy toping. (Task 6) 6. Refurbishing the two existing heating units for the paint booth in Building located in the Southeast area of the site. (Task 8) 7. Work shall include but not limited to items listed above and maintaining any existing warranties held by the owner. 8. All work shall be coordinated with Broward County transit so operations are not interrupted. Substantial Completion 180 Days after the Project Initiation Date in NTP 3.2 Final Completion 45 Days after Substantial Completion Contractor must meet or exceed the required CBE or SBE goal by utilizing the CBE or SBE firms listed in Exhibit B (or a CBE/SBE firm substituted for a listed firm, if permitted) for twentyfive percent (25%) of total Work under this Contract Attendance at the site visit/pre-bid conference is optional. This information session presents an opportunity for vendors to seek clarifications regarding the bid requirements. The vendor is cautioned that, although the site visit/pre-bid conference is optional, nomodification or any changes will be allowed in the pricing due to the failure of vendor(s) to have visited the site or to have attended the conference.
