Renovation of a transportation facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a 71,000-square-foot transportation facility.

Harrisburg Train Shed Roof Replacement Remove existing standing seam panels and replace with new standing seam panels with snow guards installed over a steel Deck substrate. Remove existing gutters and downspouts and replace with new gutters and downspouts. Replace select downspout Boots. Replace and expand existing snow melt system, and existing lighting. Provide new lightning protection system. Provide new roof access system. Perform structural rehabilitation and reinforcement of the existing fink truss system, purlins, Monitors, brackets and columns, including temporary shoring and protection. Approx. Square footage of roof: 71,000 sf. Amtrak shall have an option at any time, in its sole discretion, to add additional services associated with additional phases of this project to the scope of the Contract, subject to Amtrak's receipt of an acceptable proposal or proposals for such services from Contractor. Nothing herein shall obligate Amtrak to exercise options for award to the Contractor. In an effort to provide "maximum practicable opportunity" to participate in the provision of goods and services to Amtrak, prime firms under agreement with Amtrak are required to put forth Good Faith Efforts to contract with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). Therefore, a DBE subcontracting plan goal shall be established for this opportunity.
