DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project work consists of channel maintenance dredging in various locations from Cut 50 through the Lower Terminal Channel of Jacksonville Harbor as defined in the drawings. Excavated material will be placed in Bartram Island Cell A. Work also includes turbidity monitoring, endangered species observers (hopper dredges only) and sea turtle trawl-sweeping (hopper dredges only), dedicated manatee and sea turtle observer (mechanical dredges only), bird monitoring, and disposal area pumpout. Work will be divided into a base and one option. The base will include dredging of approximately 248,000 cubic yards of material from the Lower Terminal Channel, while the option will include dredging of approximately 116,000 cubic yards of material from Cut-50 through Cut-55. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The estimate period of performance is 130 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The request for proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about January 10, 2022 and proposals will be due on or about January 25, 2022. The award of the task order will be made on the basis of Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA). See forthcoming request for proposal for submission requirements. The Request for Proposal will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Contracting Opportunities website at https://www.sam.gov.
