A timeline for the award is not yet determined.** Howard County intends to procure the services of one construction firm to furnish services for the construction (including the provision of all required labor, equipment, and materials) of provided final plans and specifications provided herewith for the Woodcrest Stream Rehabilitation Project. This project involves the construction of approximately 3,640 linear feet of stream through channel bed structures, grading, floodplain reconnection, habitat enhancement, and replacement of a culvert for the Stormwater Management Division of the Bureau of Environmental Services, Department of Public Works, Howard County, Maryland. The replacement of a pedestrian bridge is also part of the overall project. The new pedestrian bridge will be constructed and installed by Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks. The bridge will be placed on helical piles, also installed by Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks. No foundation work or installation of footings will be required by the Contractor. The Contractor shall coordinate with the County regarding scheduling the stream work in the vicinity of the new bridge, removal of the existing pedestrian bridge, and installation of the new bridge. The start date for this project is anticipated to be May 2022. This project is in SHA Cost Group "D" Each bid shall be accompanied by an electronic copy of a bid bond OR certified check, in the amount of 5% of the total bid, made payable to the "Director of Finance, Howard County".
