The Town of Salem NH is currently accepting proposals for the acquisition and development of a 32 acre parcel of land located on Sarl Drive - formerly 346 South Broadway. The parcel is the site of the former Wastewater Treatment Facility and is currently under an environmental/ groundwater management permit, NHDES #198405033, HAZARDOUS WASTE PROJECT #00091. The Town has identified areas of soil/groundwater contamination and has advanced a Remedial Action Plan notwithstanding all physical structures have been demolished and abated. At this time the Town is seeking interested parties or developers experienced with hazardous waste site cleanup that may be able to leverage the contamination costs through grants and assistance and ensure an economically vibrant repurposing of the property. For more information on the RFP go to portal.The Town of Salem NH reserves the right to accept any proposal, reject any proposal, or waive irregularities for any reason or no reason at all. The Town of Salem NH also reserves the right to accept an offer for all of the parcel, a portion of it through subdivision, or none at all.
