Renovation of an educational facility in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Fleetwood Area School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. RE Dec. 19,26, Jan. 1 A-l. Bids should be marked "Sealed bid"/ "Floor Refinishing" Attn: Kerry Strickler, Facilities Director, on the outside of the envelope. Estimated Project Cost: $20,000-$30,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. 1. The Gym Floor Refinishing must be done during the period of June 13, 2021 through August 6, 2021. The Fleetwood Area School District has attempted to provide the Contractor with sufficient notice and time to do the required work. Any unforeseen issue must be reported to the Facilities Director immediately. By offering a proposal, the Contractor commits to the Fleetwood Area School District that the work can be done during the period noted. 2. Exceptions can be noted on the attached proposal document and the Fleetwood Area School District will consider them; however, the Fleetwood Area School District reserves the right to reject any proposal which does not meet its operational needs, regardless of price. 3. The Contractor shall sand the entire wood floor to the bare wood, clean all surfaces, and tack with a damp cloth. All edges and corners shall be hand scraped. Contractor shall apply 2 coats of MFMA approved water-based polyurethane (BONA Supersport sealer). The floor must be screened and cleaned between coats. Contractor shall abrade the paint and apply a 3rd and 4th coat of BONA supersport- MFMA approved water-based polyurethane. 4. The Contractor is required to repaint all game lines asthey currently exist for 3 basketball courts and 3 volleyball courts. The Contractor shall also be responsible for the application of the Fleetwood logo or symbol to the floor. 5. Contractor must certify that they have been factory trained, authorized, and experienced in repairing and refinishing wood flooring. 6. The Contractor agrees that the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor shall have the sole authority to determine that the work is properly done and may direct the Contractor to redo any work that is not to his satisfaction at the Contractor's expense. The Fleetwood Area School District may withhold partial or all payment until the work is completed to the satisfaction of the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor. 7. Contractor must enclose a copy of their current commercial liability insurance certificate with the proposal. 8. All work is to be closely coordinated with FASD's Facilities Department and no work shall begin until authorized by FASD. The Contractor shall not lay any finish until the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor inspects the prepared floor. 9. All work must be done in strict accordance with the manufacturer's specifications following all applicable OSHA and other safety regulations. 10. Potential contractors may survey the above facilities during normal school hours and should direct all questions to the Facilities Director. 11. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring the areas are secured to prevent personnel from entering the work area during sanding, finishing, and drying periods. 12. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and safety devices including but not limited to sanders, scrubbers, mops, vacuums, applicators, drying fans, dust masks, eye 1.
