As of March 18, 2022, This project is already awarded to American Asphalt & Trucking LLC. with the awarded amount of $817,297.29. The Project consists of one (1) Base Bid and (1) Alternate Bid. The Base Bid consists of roadway improvements to approximately 900 linear feet of Drake Avenue from East First Avenue to East Third Avenue and 2,100 linear feet of West Fourth Avenue from Aldene Road to Pine Street. Alternate Bid 'A' consists of roadway improvements to approximately 2,400 linear feet on Drake Avenue, from East Seventh Avenue to East St. Georges Avenue. Improvements along Drake Avenue from East First Avenue to Second Avenue include roadway reconstruction, HMA overlay, base repair, curb installation, construction of sidewalk, construction of ADA-compliant curb ramps, and regrading. Improvements along Drake Avenue (Second Avenue to East Third Avenue) and West Fourth Avenue include milling and paving, base repair, repairing of interior of structures, upgrading bicycle safe grates/eco curb pieces, ADA-compliant curb ramps, speed hump installation, curb installation, and driveway repair. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Borough of Roselle, and must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of Borough of Roselle for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Owner in a lawful manner. Proposals for this contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except as to those items which are deemed mandatory and non-waivable set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2.
