Remodeling of a municipal facility in Lakewood, Colorado. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

The proposed project will include installation and related work of two interior customer service, fire-rated windows on the west wall of the Tax Service Center in Room 108A of 1881 Pierce St. Lakewood, CO 80214. Scope of Services 1. Installation of two operable, spring-loaded windows (48"W x 36"H) on the west wall of Pierce 108A, facing the B entry doors. 2. Windows shall be equal to or the equivalent of the Fyre-Tec Series 900 (www.fyre-tec.com). They shall be 60-minute fire rated; UL labeled; and Category I and II rated and labeled. The windows will be purchased by the awarded bidder. 3. Each window will be 48" wide with one 24" slider and one 24" fixed pane. Windows to slide away from the center column. 4. Center column to be 12" wide. 5. Windows will tie into the existing fire alarm system via a resettable McCabe link. This connection is to be done by ETG Fire. Coordination of this work will happen after award. 6. Add two 24" deep counters at the window openings. Must be ADA height compliant. a. 12" deep on the customer side; 4" through the wall; 8" on the employee side. The Department is flexible as the customer side could be deeper than 12". 7. Rough-in of two quad electrical outlets on the employee side of the wall and one dual outlet above the windows on the customer side. 8. Rough-in of two dual data ports on the employee side of the wall and one dual data port above the windows on the customer side. 9. Add plywood backer board (12" x 12"), above windows on the customer side. 10. Add two owner-furnished talk-through glass barriers to the counters on the customer side of the window. 11. Remove any existing signage on the customer side of the wall. 12. Add Alternate #1: Installation of Owner-furnished "Taxpayer Service Center" signage above the window. Project Related Information: 1. All contractors/subcontractors will be required to comply with Public Health Order 20-38 (COVID-19). Failure to comply will prevent access to the Property. 2. All contractors/subcontractors will undergo criminal background checks. Successful completion is required to enter the property and for issuance of badges, which must be returned at the completion of the job. 3. All work performed Monday-Friday will take place during the hours of 7am to 6pm. Any work that creates loud noise, dust, etc. will be performed from either 7am to 8am or 5pm to 6pm. Entering the building prior to 7am M-F or on Saturday/Sunday will require coordination with the Colorado State Patrol for access codes. No overtime will be paid for afterhours work. 4. Building exterior doors shall not be propped open at any time. 5. The use of radios, loud music and headphones is not allowed. 6. State law prohibits smoking on any State property. The parking lot is State property. 7. Any disconnection of electrical or fire alarm service will be pre-approved and coordinated with the Department of Personnel and Administration (landlord), 24 hours in advance. 8. Contractors/subcontractors will be responsible for disposal of all trash or debris on a daily basis. Dumpsters are located on site, but cannot accept construction materials. 9. Corridors and/or walkways must be kept clear of debris and materials at all times. 10. Public areas or hallways shall not be used for material staging. 11. Restrooms are available for contractor/subcontractor use, however, failure to maintain clean facilities will result in the need for portable restrooms at the expense of the General Contractor. 12. Parking is available on the west and south sides of the building. Access to the loading dock is on the north side of the building. Contractors/subcontractors may load/unload at the dock, but will then move vehicles to the south or west lots. Vehicles found parking in no parking zones or illegally parked will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense. 3. Should any bidder wish to ask a question or make a comment regarding the solicitation, the Bidder should email the Purchasing Agent. o The solicitation submission application typically uploads proposals within five minutes. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that their proposal is successfully uploaded before the deadline specified on Vendor Self Service (VSS). o The application will send an email confirmation if the proposal was successfully uploaded. o Bidders should submit one zip folder that contains all proposal submission documents. The zip folder name should start with the solicitation type, solicitation number, and bidder name. The bidder may include additional information in the folder title. o Please do not encrypt your email. The e-submission program automatically encrypts attachments, and the State has experienced errors with emails encrypted by vendors. o Proposals shall be emailed to: DQ_DOR2.zqj5z0828a09q8sn@u.box.com o The solicitation submission application is only for proposal submission. All other communications, including the Notice of Intent to Award will be posted on the Colorado Vendor Self-Service Website and/or through a direct email from the Purchasing Agent. All inquiries, questions, comments, or concerns should be submitted to the Purchasing Agent, not through the solicitation submission application. Comments: Late bids will be rejected without consideration. The Department of Revenue and the State of Colorado assume no responsibility for costs related to the preparation of submittals. 4. The above schedule is tentative. Responding firms shall be notified of revisions in a timely manner by email. Respondents may elect to verify times and dates by email, but no earlier than 36 hours before the scheduled date and time.
