The Scope of Work includes the repair work of plumbing leaks, painting and removal/replacement of all electricals from cabinet areas as specified for two (2) locations as detailed in the Scope of Work. Please see pp. 14-27 for detailed Scope of Work. BID BOND: Bidders are required to submit a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that may exceed $100K. Should the Bidder withdraw their bid response without entering into a contract the Bid Bond may be forfeited in whole or in part. PERFORMANCE AND LABOR BOND: The successful Bidder(s) will be required to submit a performance and/or labor bond, Cashier's or Certified Check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that exceeds $100K. The contract(s) will be made in the best interest of SCS, as determined by SCS, to the qualified, lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s) that meet the requirements listed in this IFB. Contract(s) shall be awarded on a per lot basis, each lot is considered a line item on this IFB. Every school in this lot must be bid on. SCS reserves the right to award all or in part of this solicitation based on the best interest of the District. Bidders must be able to complete the project on or before July 30, 2022. the MWBE participation goal of 23.6% for CCTE Classroom Repairs & Renovations District 5 (2) Locations is defined as the total dollar value of the subcontracts awarded to certified minority business enterprises (MBE), or certified woman-owned business enterprises (WBE), divided by the total dollar value bid amount. One or more MWBE may be utilized to meet the established goal.
